Wildcats Finish Sixth in League Meet

2/11/17 - The Wildcats finished sixth in the Northern Buckeye Conference Championships hosted by Fostoria with 64.5 points.  Genoa took the top spot with 192.5 points.  Woodmore had two wrestlers advance to the finals and place second.  Senior Conor Emch, bidding to become a three-time league champion, dropped a 4-2 decision in overtime to Tanner Krotzer from Rossford, in the final of the 132-pound weight class.  Junior Tyler Sandwisch, in the 113-pound weight class, lost by technical fall (16-1) to Oscar Sanchez from Genoa in the championship match.  Three wrestlers advanced to the match for third place with two of them winning.  Senior Jacob Amstutz defeated Cody Collins from Eastwood, 14-5, to claim third place at 120 pounds, as did junior Peter Magsig at 182 pounds with a pin (2:00) against Logan Krompak from Otsego.  Freshman Brett Sandwisch lost in his bid for third-place at 106 pounds by pin (4:19) to Mason Glaze from Eastwood.  Junior Robert Berry (126 pounds), freshman Clay Rickard (152), junior Alexander Cutcher (160) , and junior Josh Parlette (285) all wrestled in the league tournament, but did not place.
