Day One - Thunderbird Invite

1/27/17 - The wrestling team still had four of its six wrestlers alive after the first day of the Thunderbird Invitational hosted by Lima Central Catholic High School.  Woodmore had 10 points to tie for 34th-place.  There are 39 teams in the tournament.  Still alive for the Wildcats is freshman Brett Sandwisch at 106 pounds after he won by pin and lost by pin on day one.  Junior Tyler Sandwisch, wrestling at 113 pounds, lost by pin in his only match of the day.  Junior Robert Berry won twice by decision at 120 pounds and lost by pin in his other match.  And, senior Conor Emch won both his matches at 132 pounds, one by decision and one by pin.  Junior Peter Magsig lost two matches at 182 pounds by decision while junior Josh Parlette lost a pair of matches at 285 pounds, both by pin.
