Wildcats Split Doubleheader

In game one, Port Clinton exploded for the big fourth inning and rode that to a five-inning victory.  Freshman Macie Wellons had two hits for the Wildcats while freshman Lizzy Cook had an RBI triple.  Starting pitcher, freshman Sydni Buhrow, drove in a run with a single and sophomore Maddie Thatcher plated a run with a fielder's choice.  Sophomore Kayla Bosh added a double.  In game 2, the Wildcats had the big inning, a six-run sixth inning, to earn the come-from-behind win.  Buhrow started and pitched five innings to pick up the win while sophomore Delaney Hablitzel pitched the last two innings.  Both Cook and junior Alex Moreno were 0-for-1 at the plate, but drew three walks each and they each scored two runs.  Senior Morgan Witt went 2-for-5 with a run scored and freshman Maddion Strickland had the other hit and scored a run.  The junior varsity team had their doubleheader with Port Clinton cancelled.
