Wildcats Split DH at St. Joseph CC

The Wildcats scored 12 runs in its last three at-bats to earn the non-league road win in the game 1 of a doubleheader.  Junior Delany Hablitzel pitched all five innings for the Wildcats with four strikeouts to get the win.  Freshman Brooke Allen was 3-for-3 with three RBI and sophomore Macie Wellons was 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI.  Junior Katelynn Marshall hit a three-run home run.  Sophomore Sydni Buhrow, junior Kayla Bosh, and senior Alex Moreno each had two hits.

Woodmore lost the second game of the doubleheader when the home team scored nine runs in its last three at-bats to turn an 8-2 deficit into a win.  Buhrow went the distance on the mound and struck out five.  Buhrow was 3-for-4 at the plate with an RBI while Wellons was 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI.  Marshall also had two hits.

Sophomore Grace McCarthy pitched all five innings allowing four earned runs with four strikeouts.  Sophomore Autumn Foos went 4-for-4 at the plate with a double and triple.  She scored four runs and had eight RBI.  Junior Kennedy Bringman was 3-for-5 and scored three runs.  Sophomore Libby Almroth went 2-for-3 with a triple, three RBI, and three runs scored.  Ten of the 11 players who got an at-bat had a hit in the game.
