9/19/16 - The Woodmore varsity golf team put five players in the top 11 spots to repeat as team champion of the Ottawa Country Tournament at Maumee Bay.  Woodmore's team total of 347 was equaled by Genoa, but the Wildcats were declared the team champion on the basis of the fifth-best score tiebreaker.  Senior Austin Berkel tied for the best round of the tournament shooting 82, but a player from Port Clinton was declared the medalist winning the three-player playoff on the first hole.  Junior Mitchell Miller placed tied for fifth shooting an 87.  Both Berkel and Miller were first-team all-county, which goes to the top six finishers.  Junior Ian Cook and senior Conor Emch each shot 89 to tie for ninth-place while senior Mikey Blausey shot 90 to finish 11th.  Cook, Emch, and Blausey all earned second team all-county after finishing in the second six.  Senior Zach Schmeltz shot a 92 in the tournament.
