Greenhill Named to All-District Team

11/6/18 - Sophomore Danny Greenhill, the Northern Buckeye Conference Player of the Year, was recently named a second team all-district honoree by the Ohio High School Golf Coaches Association.  Greenhill, the medalist at the NBC meet shooting 76 at Green Hills, was third in the sectional tournament to earn a spot in the district tournament where he came up three shots shy of qualifying for the state meet.

10/4/18 - Woodmore sophomore Danny Greenhill finished in a tie for 18th in the Div. III district golf tournament at Stone Ridge Golf Club in Bowling Green.  The top four teams and the top four individuals, not on a qualifying team, earned a ticket to the state tournament next week.  Greenhill, the Northern Buckeye Conference Player of the Year, shot 42-41--83 to tie for 12th individually among the players not on a qualifying team.  The fourth qualifying individual shot 80.

Greenhill Earns District Berth; Team Fifth at Sectional

9/27/18 - The Woodmore boys golf team finished fifth of 11 teams in the Div. III sectional tournament held at Green Hills Golf Course in Clyde.  The top three teams and top three individuals not on a qualifying team earn a trip to the Div. III district tournament next week at Stone Ridge Golf Club in Bowling Green.  Woodmore had a team total of 372 to finish behind Margaretta (343), St. Joseph Central Catholic (345), Danbury (357), and Lakota (362).  Sophomore Danny Greenhill earned a ticket to the district tournament next week with a third-place finish shooting a 79.  He was top individual finisher not on a qualifying team.  Freshman Aaron Miller shot 96, sophomore Ian Jacobson 97, sophomore Zane Lopez 100, freshman Landon Emch 102.  Greenhill will tee off at 8:30 a.m. on October 4 at Stone Ridge looking to earn a trip to the Div. III state tournament.  The top four individuals not on a qualifying team in the district tournament will earn a trip to the state tournament.  The state tournament will be contested Oct. 12-13 at NorthStar Golf Club in Sunbury.

Wildcats Finish Regular Season at Edison Invite

9/24/18 - The boys golf team made its final tune-up before the start of the Div. III state tournament Thursday by finishing 12th in the 18-team Edison Invitational played at Sawmill Creek Golf Course.  Woodmore finished with a team total of 377.  Westlake was the team champion with a 319 total.  Sophomore Danny Greenhill, the NBC Player of the Year, finished tied for ninth individually shooting 82.  Sophomore Zane Lopez shot 95, sophomore Ian Jacobson shot 99, freshman Aaron Miller had a 101, and freshman Landon Emch shot 102.  The boys team starts the Div. III state tournament trail Thursday with the sectional tournament at Green Hills Golf Course in Clyde.  The tournament begins at 9 a.m.

Boys Team 3rd in NBC; Greenhill Wins NBC Tournament and is Player of the Year

9/18/18 - The boys golf  team tied for fourth in the Northern Buckeye Conference Championships held at Green Hills Golf Course.  Woodmore had a team total of 366 to tie for fourth with Lake.  Genoa won the tournament shooting 334 while Eastwood was second shooting 341.  Rossford was third shooting 360.  Sophomore Danny Greenhill won the league meet shooting 76 (40-36) and that earned him the league Player of the Year honors.  Player of the Year honors takes into account the four league shootouts as well as the league tournament.  Greenhill was in second place coming into the league tournament.  Freshman Aaron Miller shot 90 (42-48) to place 12th in the league tournament and his finish earned him a spot on the honorable mention all-league team.  Sophomores Zane Lopez and Ian Jacobson both shot 100 in the tournament while freshman Landon Emch shot 109 and freshman Duane Perkins carded a 138.  As a team, the Wildcats finished third overall for the season in the NBC behind Genoa and Eastwood.

Wildcats Second at Ottawa County

9/17/18 - The boys golf team finished second in the Ottawa County Tournament hosted by Port Clinton and played at Maumee Bay Golf Course.  Woodmore had a team total of 384 to finish behind only Genoa (341). Sophomore Danny Greenhill shot 84 to place fourth individually.  Sophomore Zane Lopez shot a 95, sophomore Ian Jacobson shot 96, freshman Landon Emch carded a 106, freshman Aaron Miller shot 107, and freshman Duane Perkins carded a 123.  Sophomore Dylan Selhorst shot 137 playing in the junior varsity portion of the tournament.

Perry Competes in NBC Tournament

9/17/18 - Freshman Macy Perry competed in the Northern Buckeye Conference Golf Championships at Green Hills Golf Course in Clyde and finished 19th of 34 golfers finishing the tournament shooting a 121 (59-62).  She finished three spots out of earning honorable mention all-league honors which takes into account a players finish in the four shootouts and the league tournament.  Perry will complete next week (Sept. 25) in the first step to qualifying for the state tournament - the Div. II girls sectional tournament at Fostoria Country Club.

9/15/18 - The Woodmore boys golf team finished seventh in the 10-team Clyde Fall Classic at Green Hills Golf Course.  Woodmore had a team total of  397.  Genoa was the team champion shooting 332.  Sophomore Ian Jacobson led the Wildcats shooting 91.  Sophomore Zane Lopez shot 97, freshman Aaron Miller carded a 100, freshman Landon Emch shot 109, and freshman Duane Perkins shot 111.

Girls NBC Shootout at Stone Ridge

9/13/18 - Freshman Macy Perry shot 62 in the final Northern Buckeye Conference Shootout held at Stone Ridge Golf Club in Bowling Green.  Otsego was the host school.

Boys Fourth in Last League Shootout

9/11/18 - The boys gold team placed fourth in the final shootout of the season held at Hidden Hills Golf Course and hosted by Lake.  Woodmore had a team total of 168 to finish behind Genoa (153), Eastwood (156), and Lake (161).  Sophomore Danny Greenhill and freshman Aaron Miller each shot 40 to lead the Wildcats.  Sophomore Ian Jacobson shot 43 and freshman Landon Emch shot 45.  Sophomore Zane Lopez shot 47 and freshmen Duane Perkins carded a 58.
