Wildcats Win NBC Tri-Meet

4/10/18 - The Woodmore girls track and field team won 13 of the 17 events to capture a Northern Buckeye Conference tri-meet hosted by Elmwood.  Woodmore finished with 74 points while Fostoria had 48 points and Elmwood 37.  Senior Emily Wegert and sophomore Claire Rothert both won two individual events. Wegert captured the 100 (13.36) and the 200 (28.52) while Rothert won the 100 hurdles (17.17) and the 300 hurdles (54.91).  Also winning individual events was freshman Greta Bauder in the 400 (1:09.50), freshman Ava Beam in the 800 (2:42.90), senior Clarissa Chavez in the 1600 (6:56.59), freshman Olivia Thatcher in the 3200 (12:29.09), senior Carly Rothert in the high jump (4-8), and junior Kirsten Sargent with a toss of 98-3 in the discus.  Three of the relay teams came home first - the 800 relay in a time of 1:56.58 (Wegert, junior Nora LaMunyon, Claire Rothert, and freshman Makenna Book), the 1600 relay in 4:36.64 (Beam, LaMunyon, Wegert, and Bauder), and the 3200 relay in 11:02.77 (LaMunyon, Thatcher, Bauder, Beam).
