Wildcats Win Home Tri-Meet

4/11/17 - The Wildcats piled up 94 points to win the home tri-meet with St. Wendelin (35 points) and Fostoria (18 points).  Woodmore won 15 of the 17 events.  Multiple winners included junior Annalicia Torres who won the shot put (40-2 1/2) and discus (119-4), senior Lily Rothert who captured the 1600 (5:53.2) and 800 (2:44.2), freshman Claire Rothert  who won the two hurdle events - the 100 (17.0) and 300 (53.3), and senior Liz Koenig who won the high jump (4-10) and the long jump (14-10 1/2).   Woodmore won all four relays.  The 3200 foursome of L. Rothert, senor Amber Zarella, senior Kate Barbee, and senior Samantha Sedlmeier won in a time of 11:23.7.  The 800 relay group of  senor Camryn Bench, Zarella, C. Rothert, and junior Emily Wegert posted a time of 1:57.8.  The 400 relay contingent of Bench, Zarella, C. Rothert, and Wegert posted a time of 55.4.  And, the 1600 relay team of Zarella, L. Rothert, Koenig, and Sedlmeier won in a time of 4:59.6.  Also winning events for the Wildcats was Wegert in the 100 (13.2), Bench in the 200 (27.9), Barbee in the 3200 (13:34.3).
