Wildcats Seventh at Lakota

4/7/18 - The girls track and field team placed seventh with 59 points among the 16 teams in the Lakota Invitational.  The Wildcats did not have an event winner, but had two seconds and three thirds.  One runner-up finish was turned in by the 3200 relay team of junior Nora LaMunyon, freshman Maddie Thatcher, freshman Greta Bauder, and freshman Ava Beam.  The foursome were timed in 10:39.80.  The other second was turned in by Beam in the 3200 with a time of 12:50.02.  Beam also had one of the third-place finishes in the 1600 with a time of 5:50.66.  Senior Emily Wegert was third in the 100 (13.69) and 200 (28.99) to earn the other third-place finishes.  Placing fourth in an event was sophomore Claire Rothert in the 100 hurdles (17.27), Thatcher in the 1600 (5:53.47), and the 800 relay foursome of Wegert, LaMunyon, Rothert, and freshman Makenna Book with a time of 1:57.56.  Also placing in the meet was Rothert in the 300 hurdles (5th, 53.19), LaMunyon in the 400 (7th, 1:08.73), and the 1600 relay team of freshman Sidney Gillig, LaMunyon, Wegert, and Bauder in a time of 4:42.28 to place fifth.
