Wildcats Second at Port Clinton

4/28/17 - The girls track and field team had three winners and finished the Port Clinton Invitational in second place with 92 points.  Oak Harbor won the eight-team meet with 169 points.  Winners for the Wildcats were freshman Claire Rothert in the 100 hurdles with a time of 16.94, senior Liz Koenig in the long jump with a best of 15-8, and Annalicia Torres in the shot put with a toss of 39-5.  Placing second was senior Samantha Sedlmeier in both the 1600 (5:54.50) and 3200 (12:46.80), Rothert in the 300 hurdles (49.10), and Koenig in the high jump (4-10).  Other placers (top eight in each events scored team points) included: junior Emily Wegert in the 100 (5th, 13.76) and 200 (5th, 28.05), senior Kate Barbee in the 3200 (5th, 13:14.61), Koenig in the 100 hurdles (4th, 17.96), Torres in the discus (6th, 98-8), and the 400 relay team of senior Camryn Bench, junior Carly Rothert, Cl. Rothert, and Wegert placed fourth in a time of 53.80.
