Wildcats Second at Gibsonburg Invite

4/21/17 - The track and field team finished second in the 12-team Gibsonburg Invitational with 82 points.  Fellow Northern Buckeye Conference school, Lake, won the meet with 138 points.  The Wildcats had one first-place finish.  Junior Annalicia Torres won the shot put with a best of 37-2.  Torres also turned in a second-place finish with a toss of 117-8 in the discus.  Other runner-up finishes included senior Liz Koenig in the long jump with a best of 14-7 and senior Lily Rothert with a time of 2:35.04 in the 800.  Rothert also had one of three third-place finishes with a time of 5:53.74 in the 1600.  Freshman Claire Rothert was third in the 300 hurdles with a time of 50.12 and senior Kate Barbee was third in the 3200 with a time of 13:31.51.  Three athletes placed fourth - Koenig in the high jump clearing 4-10, C. Rothert in the 100 hurdles with a time of 16.94, the 400 relay team of senior Camryn Bench, Koenig, C. Rothert, and L. Rothert in a time of 57.07, and the 1600 relay foursome of L. Rothert, C. Rothert, Bench, and Barbee in a time of 4:45.95.  Other placers (top eight in each event scored team points) included: Koenig in the 100 hurdles (6th, 17.42), Bench in the 100 (7th, 13.72) and the 200 (6th, 28.68), and Barbee in the 1600 (7th, 6:12.16),
