Girls Second in Home Tri-Meet

4/25/17-The track and field team scored 40 points in a Northern Buckeye Conference tri-meet at home to place second behind Lake (97.5 points) and ahead of Otsego (37.5 points).  The girls team had three individual winners.  Senior Samantha Sedlmeier took the 1600 in a time of 6:00.0, senior Lily Rothert won the 3200 running a time of 13:36.0, and senior Liz Koenig took the long jump event with a best of 15-9 1/2.  Earning second-place points was freshman Claire Rothert in the 100 hurdles (17.1) and 300 hurdles (49.4), junior Emily Wegert in the 100 (13.4) and 200 (28.1), Sedlmeier in the 3200 (13:50.0), and Koenig in the high jump (4-8).  The 800 relay team of senior Camryn Bench, L. Rothert, C. Rothert, and Wegert were second in a time of 1:52.1 while Bench, senior Amber Zarella, C. Rothert, and Wegert combined to place second in the 400 relay posting a time of 54.2.  Other Woodmore athletes who placed included Bench in the 200 (4th, 28.6).
