8/24/17 - The Wildcat girls soccer team opened the season with a 6-1 win at home over Northern Buckeye Conference foe Rossford.  Freshman Greta Bauder found the back of the net just under five minutes into the game that set the stage for five unanswered Wildcat goals in the first 17 minutes of the game.  Junior Nora LaMunyon followed Bauder with a tally at 32:43 of the first half.  Sophomore Claire Rothert then scored the first of her four goals in the game at 32:15, and followed that with goals at 30:15 and 23:30 as Woodmore took a 5-0 lead.  Rossford scored its only goal of the game with 44 seconds left in the first half.  Rothert notched her fourth goal with 26:24 left in the second half to complete the scoring.  She had a possible fifth goal go just wide late in the game.  Four goals is one off the single-game school record set by Taylor Avers in 2010.  Sophomore goalkeeper Phoebe Jackson made 4 saves.  Woodmore had a 27-7 edge in shots.
