Wildcats Earn League Victory

9/22/16 - It took more than 30 minutes, but once the girls varsity soccer team got on track they easily outdistanced Northern Buckeye Conference foe Otsego, 11-0, at home.  There was no scoring in the game until junior Hayley Freund scored with 9:13 left in the first half.  Then the Wildcats scored three more times before halftime.  Freund again at 8:18, then freshman Claire Rothert at 6:35 and 2:16 to make it 4-0 at the break.  Junior Carly Rothert scored four times in the season half, with 37:56 left in the half, at 28:21, 8:33 and 6:44.  Sophomores Nora LaMunyon and Katie Brugger also had second-half goals along with junior Christy Cruz.  Senior Lily Rothert had three assists, while Freund had two and sophomore Franzi Hein one.  Freshman Phoebe Jackson had one save in the first half and sophomore Katelyn Aliemenious did not have a save in the second half.  Woodmore had a 35-2 edge in shots.
