10/16/17 - The Woodmore girls soccer team opened Div. III state tournament play with a 1-0 win at home over Evergreen.  The lone goal of the game came from sophomore Claire Rothert with 10:10 left in the game off a pass from junior Katie Brugger.  Woodmore had a 13-4 edge in shots and sophomore goalkeeper Phoebe Jackson was credited with two saves.  Woodmore advances to the sectional final Wednesday against the winner of the Huron-Toledo Christian game.  Woodmore, the #6 seed, would travel to Huron (#4 seed) if they win.  Woodmore would host Toledo Christian (#13 seed) if they won.  The game Wednesday is likely to start at 5 p.m. no matter where it is played.
