10/26/16 - The Woodmore girls soccer team earned a berth in the Div. III district final with a 2-0 victory over Huron in the semifinal game played in a steady rain throughout at Genoa High School.  Woodmore scored the only goal of the first half just five minutes into the game on a shot from sophomore Maddie Thatcher. With 27:59 left in the second half, senior Camryn Bench scored from point-blank range after a pass from senior Lily Rothert and a scramble in front of the net.  Woodmore had 25 shots in the game and freshman Phoebe Jackson recorded two saves in goal.  The Wildcats will play Northern Buckeye Conference rival Eastwood in the district final Saturday (Oct. 29) at 2 p.m. back at Genoa High School.  Woodmore has recorded five straight shutouts and they now have 13 for the season.
