Varsity Team First in District, Ranked 9th in the State

9/14/16 - The varsity girls soccer team, off to a 6-0-0 start, have earned the #1 spot in the district rankings and they are tied for ninth in the the Division III state rankings.  In the girls Div. III rankings in the Northwestern Ohio District, done by the Northwest Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association (NWOSSCA), the Wildcats sit in the top spot in the poll with 168 points.  Second-place is held by Liberty-Benton (6-1-0) while Riverdale, Eastwood, and Genoa round out the top five.  Woodmore hosts Genoa Thursday and Eastwood Saturday this week.  The district poll is released each Friday.  In the state rankings, done by the Ohio Scholastic soccer Coaches Association (OSSCA), Woodmore is tied for ninth in Div. III with Loudonville with 16 points.  Gilmour Academy in Gates Milles is the top-ranked team followed by Cincinnati Country Day, Sidney Lehman Cartholic, Doylestown Chippewa, and Zanesville Bishop Rosecrans.  The state poll is released each Monday.
