Wildcats Drop Non-League Home Game

12/10/16 - Varsity - Woodmore was outscored 35-19 in the middle two quarters and lost the non-league home game to Hopewell-Loudon, 65-48.  Hopewell-Loudon led 17-15 after one quarter then extended their advantage in the middle two quarters and Woodmore never closed the gap to less than 10 points.  Senior Kate Barbee led the Wildcats with 11 points, eight in the first half, and senior Lily Rothert added 10 points.  Hopewell led 52-34 heading into the fourth quarter.  Junior Varsity - The Wildcats used a big fourth quarter to pull away in a tight game, winning 39-26.  Woodmore outscored Hopewell-Loudon 16-4 in the final quarter after starting the stanza with a slim 25-22 edge.  Woodmore won the third quarter, 15-12, after the two teams were tied at 10 at halftime.  Freshman Jordan Nighswander led the Wildcats with 12 points, 10 of those in the second half, while sophomore Maddie Thatcher added 11 points.
