1/19/17 - Varsity - The Wildcats (8-6, 5-4 NBC) led most of the way at home over undefeated league-leader Otsego until the offense sputtered in the last  five minutes of the game and Otsego pulled out a 38-34 win.  Woodmore led 13-9 after one quarter and 20-14 at halftime.  The two teams entered the fourth quarter tied at 27.  Woodmore scored the first four points of the final stanza on a Kate Barbee field goal and a Nora LaMunyon baseline jumper to take a 31-27 lead with 5:27 left.  That would be the last Woodmore points until the waning seconds of the game as Otsego reeled off 10 unanswered points to lead 37-31 with 37.1 seconds left.  Otsego scored six points at the free throw line during their run.  Katie Brugger connected on a three-pointer for the Wildcats with three seconds left and Otsego made one free throw with 1.2 seconds left to complete the scoring.  LaMunyon led the eight Woodmore players who scored with seven points.  Barbee added six points.  Junior varsity - The Wildcats scored only four points in the middle two quarters and despite a fourth-quarter comeback dropped a 28-25 decision.  Otsego led 14-12 after one quarter and had increased that advantage to 26-16 heading into the fourth quarter where Woodmore outscored the Knights, 9-2, but it wasn't enough to get the win.  Freshman Claire Rothert led the Wildcats with seven points while junior Lauren Wolph, sophomore Maddie Thatcher and freshman Jordan Nighswander each scored four points.
