Woodmore Hosts Fostoria

12/12/17 - Varsity - at Woodmore 41, Fostoria 36.  The Wildcats won the second and fourth quarters by small margins in the a close game and rode that advantage to the victory.  After the two teams played to a 8-all tie after one quarter, Woodmore outscored Fostoria, 11-7 in the second quarter to take a 19-15 edge at halftime.  Fostoria outscored the Wildcats, 8-6, in the third quarter as Woodmore led only 25-23 after three quarters.  In the fourth quarter Woodmore scored six of its 13 field goals for the game and won the quarter, 16-13, to earn the Northern Buckeye Conference win.  The Wildcats built a 10-point advantage in the final quarter before a late Fostoria rally closed the gap.  Sophomore Jordan Nighswander led the way with 15 points, nine in the first half, and 20 rebounds.  Freshman Brooke Allen added 10 points.  Junior Varsity - at Woodmore 39, Fostoria 5. The Wildcats got off to a 12-0 lead after one quarter and coasted to the win.  Junior Maddie Thatcher had nine points for the Wildcats while sophomore Sydni Buhrow and freshman Olivia Thatcher added eight points each.
