Woodmore Wins at Home in League Play

12/13/16 - Varsity - The varsity girls hoops team pulled away in the final quarter of a close home game with Northern Buckeye Conference foe Eastwood to earn a 46-31 win.  The Wildcats outscored the visitors, 19-9, in the final stanza to earn the win.  Woodmore led 10-5 after the first quarter and 18-15 at halftime.  The Wildcats had a 27-22 lead heading into the fourth quarter.  Senior Lily Rothert took game scoring honors with 18 points, 10 of those in the second half, and added five steals.  Senior Kate Barbee added nine points and senior Makenzie Hoffman added eight points.  Junior varsity - The Wildcats won every quarter on their way to a 50-12 win at home.  WHS led 16-8 after one quarter and 28-9 at halftime.  Sophomore Alex Liskai led Woodmore with 11 points while  junior Lauren Wolph, sophomore Maddie Thatcher, and freshman Jordan Nighswander each scored eight points.
