Woodmore at Otsego

1/18/18 - Varsity - Woodmore 41, at Otsego 40. Freshman Brooke Allen converted a field goal on the low block with one second left in the game on a feed from sophomore Claire Rothert for the winning points.  The Wildcats led 12-6 after the first quarter but trailed by one point at halftime (22-21) and after three quarters (33-32), setting the stage for a fourth quarter that had three lead changes in the last two minutes.  Woodmore scored five of the first six points of the fourth quarter to take a 37-34 lead with 3:04 left.  One free throw from junior Nora LaMunyon with 2:45 left gave Woodmore a 38-36 led.  Otsego regained the lead on a three-point field goal with 2:09 left (39-38).  LaMunyon then converted on free toss with 1:59 left to tie the score at 39.  Otsego split two free throws with 1:35 left to take a one-point advantage.  Woodmore then turned the ball over twice sandwisched around a missed Otsego field goal before the Knights missed two free throws with 50.5 second left setting the stage for the games last possession.  Woodmore held the ball for the last shot and Rothert set up Allen for the game-winner.  LaMunyon led the Wildcats with 13 points while junior Katie Brugger scored eight points and Allen scored six points.  Sophomore Jordan Nighswander added five points and seven rebounds.  The Wildcats were 11-of-17 at the charity stripe while Otsego was just 10-of-22 at the foul line.  Junior Varsity - at Otsego 31, Woodmore 22. Freshman Greta Bauder led Woodmore with seven points.
