Wildcats Pick Up Home League Win to End Regular Season

Woodmore (11-11, 7-7 NBC) used strong first and third quarters to build a 43-28 lead going into the fourth quarter and cruised to the win in their regular season finale. Woodmore led 10-5 after the first quarter and 26-22 at halftime. They extended their advantage to 15 points heading into the fourth quarter by winning the third quarter, 17-6. Junior Kate Barbee led WHS with 13 points while pulling down 11 rebounds. Senior Jordan Grzegorczyk added 12 points and senior Kaitlin Gephart added seven points. Gephart was credited with five steals. Junior Lily Rothert, who scored five points, had five steals and five assists. The win evened the Wildcats' season records as the head into Div. III state tournament play on Feb. 17. In the junior varsity game, the Wildcats (14-7, 11-3 NBC) won every quarter and broke the game open in the final stanza winning it, 14-6. Freshman Nora LaMunyon led the Wildcats with 15 points while sophomore Lauren Wolph added 10 points.
