12/8/16 - Varsity - The Wildcats led by two points (20-18) at halftime and made two comebacks in the second half but it wasn't enough as they dropped a 44-41 decision at Otsego in Northern Buckeye Conference play.  Otsego built a 28-23 lead with two minutes left in the third quarter, but Woodmore would score the next six points to re-take the lead at 29-28 with 20 seconds left.  That would be the score entering the final stanza.  Otsego scored 10 of the first 13 points in the final quarter to forge a 38-32 lead with over four minutes left.  They would extend that advantage to 41-34 with just over three minutes left before Woodmore would score the next seven points to tie the game at 41-all with 23.6 seconds left on a Lily Rothert short field goal.  But, Otsego would come down and convert a three-point play with 13.8 seconds left.  A final Woodmore possession ended in a turnover.  Rothert, a senior, led the Wildcats with 18 points.  Senior Kate Barbee added seven points.  Junior varsity - the Wildcats trailed from the second quarter on until a three-pointer by Sydni Buhrow brought the Wildcats to within one point and when Woodmore got the ball back junior Lauren Wolph converted from a short distance on the inside with under five seconds left for the game-winner as the Wildcats won, 37-36.  Buhrow had 13 points (including 3 three-pointers) to lead the Wildcats and Wolph added six points.  Woodmore was 4-of-20 at the charity stripe.
