Wildcats Host Gibsonburg

11/28/17 - The Wildcats held Gibsonburg to one point in the first and fourth quarters on their way to a 36-21 non-league win at home. The Wildcats led 5-1 after one quarter and 16-12 at halftime.  They led just 25-20 heading into the final stanza when they held the Golden Bears to just one point to slowly pull away for their second win of the season.  Sophomore Jordan Nighswander scored 10 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead the Wildcats.  Freshman Brooke Allen and junior Katie Brugger added eight points each.  Allen grabbed six rebounds.  Woodmore held Gibsonburg to just four field goals in the game while connecting on 11.  Woodmore was 13-of-20 at the line, Gibsonburg was 13-of-24.  Junior Varsity - at Woodmore 48, Gibsonburg 30.  Woodmore broke open a 17-16 game at halftime by winning the third quarter, 23-7, to build a 39-24 edge heading into the final stanza.  Sophomore Sydney Buhrow led the way with 15 points.  Freshman Olivia Thatcher added 14 points and junior Maddie Thatcher had 13 points.
