2/4/17 - Varsity - The Wildcats forced overtime at St. Joseph Central Catholic by scoring the last three points of regulation while holding St. Joe scoreless over the last 2:10 of regulation only to get outscored in the extra period, 10-3, in losing a 53-46 decision.  Woodmore took a halftime lead after outscoring the Crimson Streaks, 13-7, in the second quarter to take a 24-20 lead at the break.  St. Joe took a small lead (32-31) into the final quarter outscoring the Wildcats, 12-7, in the third quarter.  After Woodmore scored the first two points of the fourth quarter to re-take the lead, St. Joe scored the next five points to take a small lead they would enjoy most of the rest of the quarter. St. Joe led 43-40 with 2:10 left in regulation before the Wildcats got a free throw and a field goal to tie the score with 1:19 left.  Both teams failed to score on a couple possessions down the stretch and Woodmore missed two free throws with 2.3 seconds left and the two teams headed to overtime.  Woodmore's only points in overtime came at the free throw stripe, two with 2:48 left to tie the game at 45-all, and one free throw with 1:29 left to pull Woodmore within 48-46.  But, those would be the last Wildcat points of the game.  St. Joe had two field goals and were 6-of-7 from the charity stripe in overtime.  Senior Lily Rothert scored 13 points to lead Woodmore while senior Camryn Bench added seven points and senior Liz Koenig and sophomore Katie Brugger each scored six points.  Junior varsity - The Wildcats trailed 18-17 at halftime but outscored the Crimson Streaks 28-9 in the second half to win going away, 46-26.  Sophomore Paige Schmeltz led the way with nine points while freshman Macie Wellons added eight points.  Freshman Sydni Buhrow and sophomore Makayla Throop each added six points.
