Rothert, Barbee Named to All-League Team

2/15/17 - Woodmore seniors Lily Rothert and Kate Barbee were both named to the Northern Buckeye Conference all-league team as recently voted upon by the league coaches.  Rothert, who was an honorable mention selection last season, earned first-team honors this season.  Rothert, a 5-6 guard, led the team averaging 10.7 points and her 92 steals was the top figure on the team.  Rothert averaged 2.1 assists per game, second on the team, and her 4.3 rebounds per game were third on the team.  Barbee repeated as a second-team selection averaging 6.3 points, second on the team, and 3.8 assists, the top figure on the team.  Barbee, a 5-5 guard, led the team in rebounding averaging 4.5 per game.  The Wildcats finished the regular season 14-8 overall and were second in the NBC with a 10-4 mark.  Woodmore will play in the Div. III sectional final tomorrow against Delta after beating Gibsonburg in their first state tournament game.
