Hoop Teams Sweep on the Road

11/29/16 - Varsity - The Wildcats put together two 9-0 runs in the first quarter to build a 22-5 edge in their game at Gibsonburg and went on to cruise to a 61-28 victory.  Woodmore scored the last nine points of the first quarter and the first eight points of the second stanza to build a 30-5 edge and led 42-10 at the break.  Woodmore won the second half, 19-18.  The Wildcats had 10 players score led by senior Lily Rothert with 16 points while adding five steals.  Senior Camryn Bench posted a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds while Hayley Freund hit a pair of three-pointers on her way to 10 points.  Sophomore Katie Brugger had six points and six rebounds while senior Kate Barbee handed out four assists.  Junior varsity - The Wildcats had nine players find the scoresheet  building a 26-0 lead after one quarter and a 32-3 halftime edge.  Woodmore went on to post a 59-10 win.  Freshmen Jordan Nighswander (10 pts.) and Claire Rothert (8 pts.) led the Wildcats in scoring.  Sophomore Alex Liskai also scored eight points.
