Wildcats Win on the Road Against Toledo Christian

9/1/17 - In a game to two halves, Woodmore won the first half 19-0 and Toledo Christian scored all 14 of the second-half points as the Wildcats hung on for a 19-14 win in a game played at Springfield High School.  Woodmore scored its first of three touchdowns in the first quarter driving 33 yards in five plays with sophomore Dylan LaFountain running the final eight yards to paydirt.  In the second quarter, the Wildcats drove 35 yards in seven plays as senior Zach Matwiejczyk ran four yards for the score.  And later in the second quarter, Woodmore drove 74 yards in three plays as senior Donovan Reyes hit senior Derrick Berkel with an eight-yard pass over the middle for the final Wildcat score.  The extra point kick was not converted on the last two touchdowns.  Toledo Christian scored in the third quarter on a three-yard run,s et up by a 74-yard running play, and in the fourth quarter on a 72-yard pass play.  Woodmore had a 318-307 edge in total yards and a 14-8 edge in first downs.
