Wildcats Drop Home Non-League Game

9/8/17 - The Wildcats saw Oak Harbor score 28 points in the first quarter on their way to losing a 42-6 decision at home.  Oak Harbor scored on four long runs (24 yards, 30, 47, 47) in the first quarter then added a 15-yard scoring play and a 40-yard run in the second quarter to take a 42-0 lead to the locker room.  Oak Harbor scored on each of its first six possessions in the first half.  The Wildcats scored early in the fourth quarter on a two-yard run by freshman Aaron Sandrock completing an 11-play, 68-yard drive.  Oak Harbor had a 376-163 edge in total yards and a 15-10 edge in first downs.  Woodmore ran 52 plays compared to 40 for Oak Harbor.  Woodmore had four turnovers, two fumbles and two interceptions, while Oak Harbor did not turn the ball over.  Senior Donovan Reyes was 12-of-23 passing for 89 yards while freshman DJ Melter rushed five times for 34 yards and sophomore Nate Fligor ran 10 times for 26 yards.  Senior Derrick Berkel caught six passes for 43 yards, including a 17-yarder to set up the only Wildcat touchdown, and sophomore Andrew Barringer caught four passes for 31 yards.
