Girls Third, Boys Fourth in NBC Meet

10/15/16 - The girls cross country team tied for third and the boys team was fourth in the Northern Buckeye Conference meet hosted by Fostoria.  The girls team finished tied with Eastwood with 60 points behind only Otsego (46 pts.) and Genoa (58).  Freshman Faith Morris was the league runner-up running a time of 20:40.26 to place behind only Hannah Sponaugle from Eastwood who ran a time of 19:46.96.  Senior Samantha Sedlmeier placed sixth running a time of 22:11.11 and senior Kate Barbee just missed a top 10 finish placing 11th in 23:07.94.  Senior Noelle Freund was 20th in a time of 24:23.61 and freshman Madeline Shuler placed 23rd in 24:43.87.  Junior Mackenzie Nighswander was the next Wildcat runner to the cross the finish line, 28th in a time of 25:16.77, while freshman Caitlyn Hammer was 35th in a time of 25:53.90.  On the boys side, Woodmore had 119 points to finish behind Otsego (36 pts.), Eastwood (57), and Genoa (73 pts.).  Junior Joey Emerine was the top finisher for the Wildcats in ninth place running 18:22.72.  Freshman Paul Koenig placed 19th in a time of 18:39.72 and sophomore Jimmy Grzegorczyk was 30th in a time of 19:19.36.  Sophomore Bryson Wargo was 34th in 19:38.77 and freshman Pierce Overmyer was right behind in 35th place running 19:39.07.  Sophomore Ethan Davis placed 38th in 19:44.15, freshman Chase Dickerson was 41st in a time of 19:54.73, freshman Cole Sotak was 54th in 20:19.85, senior Jacob Murray was 63rd in 21:09.89, freshman Nicholas Reedy was 72nd in 21:48.18, and senior Connor Davis was 76th in 22:08.96.
