Girls 3rd; Boys 5th at Lakota; Girls Finish 1-2 Individually

9/16/17 - The girls finished third and the boys team fifth in the Myron Cline Invitational hosted by Lakota.  The girls had three runners in the top 10 and finished with 88 points behind Hopewell-Loudon (52) and St. Mary Central Catholic (80).  The boys had 143 team points to finish behind Hopewell-Loudon (73), Lakota (76), St. Mary Central Catholic (83), and Old Fort (88).  Top finisher for the girls was freshman Olivia Thatcher who won the invitational running a time of 20:43.50 while freshman teammate Ava Beam was second in 20:57.36.  Sophomore Faith Morris placed 10th in 21:36.96.  Also running for Woodmore was senior Mackenzie Nighswander (42nd, 24:49.74), sophomore Caitlyn Hammer (54th, 26:10.09), and sophomore Madeline Shuler (75th, 28:47.66).  For the boys, senior Joey Emerine was the first Wildcat across the finish line with a time of 18:43.50 to place 20th while junior teammate Jimmy Grzegorczyk was right behind placing 21st in a time of 18:46.19.  Sophomore Pierce Overmyer was 28th in a time of 19:02.78 and sophomore Steven Carter ran 19:30.44 to place 43rd.  Sophomore Ethan Davis finished 55th in 19:49.01 and sophomore Cole Sotak placed 66th in 20:25.33.  Sophomore Nick Reedy ran 20:31.14 to place 68th, freshman Kegan Harrison placed 113th in 25:32.78, and senior Alexander Cutcher ran 25:43.91 to place 114th.
