Girls 14th, Boys 24th in OHSAA Meet to Open Season

8/19/17 - The girls team placed 14th out of 22 teams and the boys squad was 24th of 26 teams in the OHSAA Early Season Meet at National Trails Raceway in Hebron.  The girls team finished with 352 points while the boys team had 618 team points.  The girls team had two runners place in the top 20 out of a total of 194 runners.  Freshman Olivia Thatcher finished 14th in a time of 21:52.7 while fellow freshman Ava Beam was just three places back in 17th-place running 21:59.9.  Other finishers for the Wildcats included: sophomore Faith Morris in 95th-place with a time of 25:22.9, senior Mackenzie Nighswander placed 124th in a time of 26:34.6, and sophomore Caitlyn Hammer was 167th in a time of 30:19.9.  The best finisher for the Wildcats was senior Joey Emerine who placed 94th, out of 222 runners, in 20:11.5.  Junior Jimmy Grzegorczyk finished 107th in 20:35.3, sophomore Steven Carter was 128th in 21:04.1, junior Ethan Davis placed 160th in a time of 21:55.2, sophomore Pierce Overmyer placed 169th in 22:17.0, sophomore Cole Sotak was 183rd in a time of 23:07.4, sophomore Nick Reedy placed 203rd in 25:54.3, senior Alexander Cutcher placed 212th in 28:36.4, and freshman Kegan Harrison was 216th in a time of 29:52.0.
