Woodmore Second at NBC Tri-Meet

4/10/18 - The boys track and field team won five events and finished second to host Elmwood in a Northern Buckeye Conference tri-meet.  Elmwood had 101 points while Woodmore had 66 and Fostoria 8 points.  The only double winner for Woodmore was senior Jeremy Schiavone in the 100 (11.33) and 200 (23.35).  Also winning events was sophomore Paul Koenig who took the 1600 with a time of 5:20.51, sophomore Pierce Overmyer in the 3200 with a time of 11:45.51, and junior Michael Lindhorst in the discus with a toss of 108-6.  Earning second-place points for the Wildcats was sophomore Daniel Giesler in the 200 (25.35), Koenig in the 800 (2:19.41), sophomore Cole Sotak in the pole vault (12-6), sophomore Grant Perry in the long jump (16-2 1/4), and senior Peter Magsig in the shot put (36-5).  All four relay teams placed second - the 400 in 49.07 (Perry, freshman Aaron Sandrock, Giesler, Schiavone), the 800 in 1:40.74 (sophomore Nick Reedy, Sandrock, Giesler, Schiavone), the 1600 in 4:14.86 (sophomore Jonathan Kigar, freshman Ian Jacobson, Reedy, and Perry), and the 3200 in a time of 9:56.59 (Overmyer, Koenig, Kigar, Reedy).
