Wildcats Win Home Tri-Meet

4/11/17 - Woodmore totaled 80 points to outdistance St. Wendelin (41 pts.) and Fostoria (41 pts) in a tri-meet at Wildcat Stadium.  Senior Ben Wilt won two events taking the discus (145-11) and the shot put (45-2) while the Wildcats took all four relay events.  The team of freshman Paul Koenig, freshman Nick Reedy, sophomore Ethan Davis, and sophomore Jimmy Grzegorczyk won the 3200 relay in a time of 11:23.7.  The 800 relay foursome of freshman Dean Walter, junior Eli Rogers, senior Jacob Murray, and junior Jeremy Schiavone took the top spot running a time of 1:40.9.  The 400 relay group of freshman Clay Rickard, Rogers, Murray, and Schiavone posted a time of 47.3.  And the 1600 relay team of freshman Javier Slaughter, Schiavone, Rogers, and Murray won in a time of 4:00.9.  Other winners for the Wildcats included: Schiavone in the 100 (11.4), Koenig in the 1600 (4:57.6), Reedy in the 800 (2:26.4), Rogers in the 200 (24.6), Murray in the long jump (17-1 1/2), and freshman Cole Sotak in the pole vault (11-6).
