Wildcats Fourth at Gibsonburg

4/20/18 - The boys track and field team finished fourth in the 11-team Gibsonburg Invitational with 69 points.  Rossford took the team title with 119 points while Elmwood had 102 points and Toledo Christian had 82 points.  The Wildcats won one event as sophomore Paul Koenig took the 1600 with a time of 4:42.30.  Woodmore had four seconds in individual events and a second-place in a relay.  Koenig was second in the 3200 running 10:38.87, senior Jeremy Schiavone was the runner-up in the 100 (11.55) and 200 (23.58) while sophomore Cole Sotak was second in the pole vault clearing 12-0.  The 800 relay team of sophomore Tyler Zeller, freshman Aaron Sandrock, sophomore Damiel Giesler, and Schiavone were second in a time of 1:38.78.  Third-place points were picked up by junior Michael Lindhorst in the discus with a best throw of 113-8 while the 400 relay contingent of sophomore Grant Perry, Sandrock, Giesler, and Schiavone were third in a time of 46.67.  Freshman Cameron Overmyer took fourth in the pole vault clearing 10-0 and Perry was eighth in the 300 hurdles with a time of 48.72.  The 1600 relay team placed eighth with a time of 4:11.18.  The members of the team were Perry, junior Jimmy Grzegorczyk, sophomore Nick Reedy, and Sandrock.
