Boys Third in Tri-Meet at Oak Harbor

3/28/17 - The boys varsity track team finished third in a tri-meet at Oak Harbor to open the season with 34 points.  Oak Harbor won the meet with 73 points while Elmwood had 67 points.  Woodmore athletes won four events.  Junior Jeremy Schiavone took the 100 with a time of 11.55 while freshman Cole Sotak won the pole vault with a best of 10-6.  Senior Ben Wilt was a double winner taking the shot put with a toss of 45-9 1/2 and the discus with a best of 142-2.  Earning second-place points was  freshman Paul Koenig in the 1600 with a time of 5:17.79 while sophomore Jimmy Grzegorczyk was he runner-up to teammate Cole Sotak clearing 8-6 in the pole vault.  Earning third-place points was Schiavone in the 400 with a time of 56.18, Koenig in the 800 with a time of 2:22.35, and freshman Grant Perry in the long jump with a best of 16-6 1/2.
