Boys Third in NBC Tri-Meet at Genoa

4/18/17 - The Wildcats had four individual winners and won two relays but finished third in a Northern Buckeye Conference tri-meet at Genoa.  Woodmore finished with 48.5 points behind Elmwood (67) and Genoa (58.5).  Junior Jeremy Schiavone was a double winner taking the 100 in a time of 11.6 and 200 with a 23.4 clocking.  In addition, senior JT Atkin took the long jump with a best of 20-1 1/2 and freshman Cole Sotak won the pole vault competition with a best of 10-0.  The 800 relay foursome of Atkin, junior Eli Rogers, senior Jacob Murray and Schiavone were timed in 1:35.0 to earn first-place and the 400 relay team comprised of the same four athletes as the 800 relay won in a time of 45.9.  Earning second-place points was: freshman Pierce Overmyer in the 1600 (5:21.2), freshman Grant Perry in the 300 hurdles (51.1), freshman Paul Koenig in the 800 (2:16.7), and the 3200 relay team of junior Jimmy Grzegorczyk, Overmyer, freshman Nick Reedy, and Koenig in a time of 10:00.1.
