Wildcats Win at Home

9/7/17 - The Woodmore boys soccer team (3-3-0, 2-1-0 NBC) scored five second-half goals to post a 7-2 Northern Buckeye Conference win at home over Genoa.  Junior Hayden Heidebrink scored two goals, both in the first half, to give the Wildcats a 2-1 lead at the break.  His goals with 17:52 left and 9:19 left in the opening 40 minutes were sandwiched around a Genoa goal with 12:00 minutes left.  Woodmore then scored the first three goals of the second half - junior Alec Garcia with consecutive goals with 30:24 and 25:18 left followed by the first of two goals from senior Eli Rogers, the first with 17:31 left.  After a Genoa tally, Rogers scored his second with 10:20 left and junior Sam Barbee added a score on a penalty kick with 8:35 remaining.  Junior Brandon Blausey had two assists and Rogers one assist.  Senior Kevin Paul made 11 saves in goal.
