Wildcats Run Winning Streak to Eight

9/27/18 - The Woodmore boys soccer team ran its winning streak to eight games with a 7-0 win at Lake in Northern Buckeye Conference play.  Woodmore (10-1-0, 6-0-0 NBC) scored a pair of goals in the first seven minutes of the game as senior Hayden Heidebrink scored both on assists from senior Alec Garcia and junior Paul Koenig.  Garcia would add a tally with 13 minutes left in the first half and Heidebrink would score again with 11 minutes left to make it 4-0 at halftime.  Heidebrink assisted on Garcia's goal and sophomore Josh Hazel assisted on Heidebrink's third goal.  Senior Cole Anthony scored five minutes into the second half with Garcia and senior Brandon Blausey also finding the back of the net before the final whistle.  Heidebrink assisted on Anthony's goal, Koenig picked up his second assist on Garcia's goal, and senior Sam Barbee assisted on Blausey's tally.  Sophomore Zach Hunt had three saves in goal while freshman C.J. Buchanan also played in goal.  Woodmore had 40 shots in the game.
