11/6/18 - Northern Buckeye Conference champions Woodmore put eight players on the all-league team recently selected by the head coaches in the league.  Earning spots on the first team was seniors Sam Barbee, Hayden Heidebrink, and Alec Garcia.  Barbee earned one of the four spots as a defender after anchoring a Wildcat defense that recorded three shutouts this season and allowed just one goal in four other games.  Barbee had two goals and six assists for the season.  Heidebrink was a selection at midfield and Shuler as a forward after leading the offensive attack which scored 109 goals this season, a school record.  Heidebrink, who was also a first team all-league pick last season, scored 27 goals and had 28 assists this season.  His 27 goals is the third-best single-season in school history and his 28 assists were the most in school history.  Heidebrink also holds the school record with 46 career assists while his 43 career goals is third-best in school history.  Garcia, who was a second team selection last season, scored 34 goals and had 11 assists this season.  His 34 goals is a single-season school record and pushed his career total to 58, also the school standard.  Garcia had six goals against Genoa this season to establish the school single-game record.  Earning spots on the second team was senior Ethan Mason, at defender, and senior Brandon Blausey, at midfield.  Mason did not have a point this season, but along with Barbee, gave the Wildcats a strong defensive presence.  Blausey had 12 goals and six assists for the season.  Senior Ezekiel Treter and freshman C.J. Buchanan each earned a spot on the honorable mention team.  Treter, a defender, did not have a point this season, but was another key player for the Wildcats defensively.  Buchanan, a forward who also played some in goal this season, had six goals and one assist.
