Wildcats Win on the Road

9/20/18 - The Woodmore boys soccer team earned a 5-1 victory at Rossford in Northern Buckeye Conference play.  The first goal of the game came with 14 minutes left in the first half as senior Brandon Blausey found the back of the net.  Senior Alec Garcia then scored twice in the three minutes before the break to give the Wildcats a 3-0 halftime edge.  Senior Hayden Heidebrink scored twice in the second half, once at the 36-minute mark and again with nine minutes left.  Garcia, junior Paul Koenig, and junior Juan Moreno each had assists. Sophomore Zach Hunter had four saves in goal and Woodmore had 28 shots in the game.

Wildcats Win Non-League Road Contest

9/18/18 - The boys soccer team continued its winning ways with a 6-2 victory at Delta.  Woodmore scored its first three goals in the first 12 minutes of the game and led 4-0 at halftime.  Junior Paul Koenig scored a pair of goals while seniors Cole Anthony, Alec Garcia, and Hayden Heidebrink along with junior Juan Moreno all scored once.  Garcia has two assists, while Heidebrink and senior Sam Barbee had single assists.  Sophomore Zach Hunt had one save in goal for Woodmore.  Woodmore had 34 shots in the game.

Wildcats Win at Home

9/15/18 - Woodmore scored five goals in the first 20 minutes of the game at home against Northern Buckeye Conference foe Otsego and went on to post an 11-1 victory.  Ten different players scored a goal and/or had an assist in the game for the Wildcats.  Senior Alec Garcia had three goals and assisted on two others while senior Hayden Heidebrink had one goal and two assists.  Junior Juan Moreno had two goals and an assist while freshman C.J. Buchanan, junior Paul Koenig, senior Brandon Blausey, senior Cole Anthony, and senior Sam Barbee each had goals. Koenig, Blausey, freshman Peyton Sorg, and sophomore Josh Hazel each had assists.  Woodmore used three different goalkeepers who made three saves. Woodmore had 33 shots it the game.

Big Comeback Nets Win For Wildcats

9/13/18 - The Woodmore boys soccer team scored all five of its goals in the second half to wipe out a 3-0 halftime deficit and post a 5-3 win at Northern Buckeye Conference foe Eastwood.  Woodmore scored it first goal in the first 50 seconds of the second half and scored the other four goals within a 13-miniute span later in the half.  Senior Hayden Heidebrink scored four of the goals and assisted on the other goal by freshman C.J. Buchanan.  Junior Paul Koenig has an assist on one of the Heidebrink goals.  Sophomore Zach Hunt had three saves in goal for the Wildcats.  Woodmore had 22 shots.

9/10/18 - The boys varsity soccer game today at Woodmore against Rossford has been cancelled.

Wildcats Post Non-League Win at Home

9/8/18 - Woodmore's boys soccer team scored 50 seconds into its game at home with Edison, and scored two more times in the first 15 minutes, and went on to win 7-1.  Senior Alec Garcia scored with 39:10 left in the first half to get the scoring started for the Wildcats.  Freshman C.J. Buchanan then netted a goal with 29:07 left and senior Brandon Blausey scored with 26:13 left to make it 3-0.  Edison's lone goal, an own goal, came with 17.8 seconds left in the first half and made it 3-1 at halftime.  Senior Hayden Heidebrink had second half goals at 35:03 and 24:32 while Blausey added his second and third goals of the game at 24:32 and 3:08.  Junior Paul Koenig, Heidebrink, and Blausey each had one assist.  Sophomore Zach Hunt had 14 saves in goal.

Wildcats Win NBC Road Game

9/6/18 - The Woodmore boys soccer team exploded for eight goals in their NBC game at Genoa. The Wildcats earned an 8-4 victory. Senior Alec Garcia scored six of the Woodmore goa!s to set a school single-game record breaking the previous mark of five goals by Malachi Brown in 2011. Junior Paul Koenig had the other two goa!s. Senior Hayden Heidebrink also set a school record with five assists breaking the previous mark of four set by Donny Bowen in 2012. Koenig and senior Brandon Blausey also had assists. Woodmore led 4-3 at halftime. Sophomore Zach Hunt had 5 saves in goal. Woodmore had 22 shots in the game.

Wildcats Open League Play With Home Win

8/30/18 - The Woodmore boys soccer team opened Northern Buckeye Conference play at home and posted a 7-0 win over Lake.  Senior Hayden Heidebrink opened the scoring on a goal with 21:09 left in the first half.  The Wildcats added goals by senior Cole Anthony (19:29), senior Brandon Blausey (13:04), senior Alec Garcia (11:28), and junior Paul Koenig (11:13) before the half was over.  Garcia and Blausey added their second goals of the game in the second half.  Blausey assisted on Heidebrink's goal and Heidebrink had assists on Garcia's first-half goal and Blausey's second half tally.  He also assisted on Koenig's goal.  Sophomore Zach Hunt had one save in the first half and freshman C.J. Buchanan did not have a save in the second half.  Woodmore had 23 shots in the game.

Wildcats Drop Title Game of Elida Tournament

8/25/18 - Woodmore led 2-1 at halftime of their game against Elida in the championship game of Elida's tournament, but the host school scored three second-half goals to earn the 4-2 win.  Junior Paul Koenig and senior Alec Garcia scored the Wildcat goals while senior Hayden Heidebrink had the assist on both goals. Sophomore Zach Hunt had six saves in goal.  Woodmore had 23 shots in the game.

Wildcats Earn Win in Elida Tournament

8/23/18 - The Woodmore boys soccer team posted a 6-2 win in their semifinal game of the Elida Tournament over Mansfield St. Peter.  Woodmore will play Elida in the championship game on Saturday night starting at approximately 7 p.m.  Woodmore led 3-2 at halftime before scoring all three goals of the second half.  Senior Alec Garcia scored a pair of goals while senior Hayden Heidebrink, senior Brandon Blausey, junior Paul Koenig, and freshman C.J. Buchanan each scored single tallies.  Senor Cole Anthony and Blausey each had assists.  Woodmore had 36 shots in the game.
