Woodmore vs. Eastwood

12/20/16 - Varsity - The Wildcats (2-4, 1-2 NBC) managed just four points in the second quarter to fall behind Northern Buckeye Conference foe Eastwood at home, 29-13 at halftime, and could never get back in the game losing a 63-32 decision.  Eastwood led 13-9 after one quarter but eventually led 27-11 late in the second stanza before settling for the 16-point halftime edge.  Eastwood won the third quarter, 16-11, to extend their advantage and coasted to the win.  Woodmore was led by junior Mitchell Miller who took game scoring honors with 14 points while senior Derek Wank added 10 points.  Junior Varsity - In a close game all the way, Woodmore fell one point short losing a 37-36 decision.  The teams entered the final quarter tied at 27, and two three-point field goals by Eastwood proved to be the difference.  Sophomore Drew Burner led the Wildcats with 16 points, including four three-pointers, but he only had three points in the second half.  Sophomore Brandon Blausey added eight points, all in the second half.  Freshman - Woodmore was outscored 17-7 in the first and third quarters and that was the difference in their 36-25 loss.  Eastwood only outscored the Wildcats 19-18 in the other two quarters.  Andrew Barringer led Woodmore with 10 points, Javier Slaughter added seven points.
