Woodmore Earns Home Win over Fostoria

2/17/17 - Varsity - On the night when the 1,000-point scorers in Woodmore history were honored at halftime of the varsity game, the Wildcats increased a 17-13 halftime lead to a 33-23 advantage starting the fourth quarter and they went on to a 49-42 win.  Fostoria got as close as two points (37-35) with 5:01 left in the fourth quarter after a 12-4 run to start the quarter.  But, the Wildcats scored the next five points to take a 42-35 lead with 3:34 left and five points was as close as Fostoria would get the rest of the way.  Junior Mitchell Miller led the way for the Wildcats with 12 points while senior Derek Wank added 10 points.  Senior Mikey Blausey chipped in with nine points.  Junior varsity - The Wildcats fell behind 14-5 after the first quarter and played from behind the whole game in losing a 44-32 decision.  Sophomore Drew Burner led the Wildcats with 12 points, sophomore Brandon Blausey added six.  Freshman - The Wildcats scored only four points in the third quarter as a four-point disadvantage at halftime became a 15-point deficit entering the fourth quarter and the Wildcats lost a 45-27 decision.  Javier Slaughter led Woodmore with 10 points while Andrew Barringer added eight points.
