Woodmore Drops Home League Game

12/23/16 - Varsity - Woodmore fell behind 20-10 after one quarter and trailed 37-18 at halftime of their home game against Northern Buckeye Conference foe Elmwood, eventually losing a 72-48 decision.  Woodmore did outscore the Royals, 19-16, in the third quarter, but still trailed 53-37 going into the fourth quarter, in which Elmwood outscored the Wildcats, 19-11.  Junior Mitchell Miller led the Wildcats with 15 points.  Junior varsity - Woodmore jumped out to a 19-8 lead after the first quarter and never looked back winning 48-32.  The Wildcats led 28-16 at halftime and 38-21 after three quarters.  Sophomore Drew Burner led the Wildcats with 11 points, sophomore Taityn Rollins had nine, and sophomores Hayden Heidebrink and Logan Mierzejewski each had six.  Freshman - After the two teams were tied at 23 after regulation, Elmwood outscored the Wildcats, 6-4, in overtime winning 29-27. Elmwood led 7-5 at halftime before Woodmore won the third quarter, 13-6, to take an 18-13 lead into the fourth quarter.  Elmwood won the fourth quarter, 10-5, to set the extra period.  Andrew Barringer led the Wildcats with 16 points, Paul Koenig added six points.
