Wildcats Win 10th; Push Win Streak to Four

1/23/18 - Varsity - Woodmore 69, at Lakota 33.  Junior Drew Burner scored 20 points and senior Mitchell Miller added 19 as the Wildcats won their fourth in a row with the comfortable non-league win.  Woodmore, now 10-2 overall, only led 10-6 after one quarter but they outscored Lakota, 21-8, in the second quarter to take a commanding 31-14 edge at halftime.  The 17-point halftime edge was the largest lead of the game to that point.  The Wildcats would then score 23 points in the third quarter to take a 54-27 lead after three quarters.  A 38-point bulge in the fourth quarter was the largest of the game.  Also in double figures for the Wildcats was junior Hayden Heidebrink who scored 10 points.  Woodmore had 30 field goals in the game to just 13 for Lakota.  Nine different players scored for Woodmore.  Junior Varsity - Woodmore 56, at Lakota 42.  The Wildcats won every quarter and locked the game up with a 17-10 scoring edge in the fouth quarter.  Woodmore led 39-32 heading to the final stanza.  Sophomore Andrew Barringer led the way with 16 points, sophomore Paul Koenig added 13 points and sophomore Cade Burroughs chipped in with 10 points.  Freshman - at Lakota 38, Woodmore 28.  Woodmore was outscored, 11-4 in the third quarter as a 22-20 deficit at halftime became 33-24 heading to the fourth quarter.  Ethan McNair scored nine points, Zach Hunt scored eight points, and Ian Jacobson seven points.
