Wildcats Earn League Road Win

The Wildcats (5-14, 3-10 NBC) had 10 three-point field goals and connected on 22-of-26 free throws to earn the Northern Buckeye Conference road win. Woodmore led 17-15 after one quarter and 36-32 at halftime. They extended their advantage to 55-46 after three quarters and maintained their advantage thoughout the final stanza to get the victory. Junior JT Atkin hit five three-pointers and led the Wildcats with 22 points while sophomore Mitchell Miller hit 12 free throws on his way to 17 points. Junior Derek Wank added 16 points and grabbed six rebounds while junior DJ Wellons was also in double figures scoring 10 points. The only other Woodmore player to score, junior Mikey Blausey, had seven points and eight rebounds. In the junior varsity game, Woodmore wiped out a double-digit deficit to take a 43-41 lead with five minutes left only to see Fostoria score 17 of the next 24 points. Sophomore Kevin Paul scored 13 points while sophomore Jeremy Schiavone added 10 points. In the freshman game, Woodmore outscored the Redmen 30-15 in the second half after leading only 12-11 at halftime. Drew Burner scored 11 points, Tyler Lynd had 10, and Jimmy Grzegorczyk added eight points.
