Wildcats Drop Non-League Road Game

1/14/17 - Varsity - The Wildcats (5-8) fell behind early and could never get back in the game dropping a 59-36 decision at Margaretta in a non-league contest.  Woodmore fell behind 13-6 after one quarter and at one point in the second quarter, after Margaretta has scored eight straight points, the score was 23-8.  Woodmore rebounded before the end of the quarter to trail 31-20 at halftime.  But, the Wildcats managed just four points in the third quarter and trailed 50-24 going into the fourth quarter.  Junior Mitchell Miller led the Wildcats with 11 points, all in the first half.  Junior varsity - Woodmore held small leads at the end of the first three quarters and extended that advantage in the final stanza to win 46-36.  Woodmore led 12-10 after one quarter, 20-17 at halftime, and 31-27 after three quarters.  Sophomore Logan Mierzejewski had 12 points to lead the team.  Sophomores Hayden Heidebrink added 10 points and Drew Burner had nine points.  Freshman - Woodmore led or was tied after each of the first three quarters, but scored only four points in the fourth quarter losing a 29-25 decision.  Woodmore led 8-0 after one quarter, 16-14 at halftime, and were tied at 21-all heading into the fourth quarter.  Paul Koenig led the Wildcats with 10 points, Javier Slaughter added eight points and Cade Burroughs had seven.
