Wildcats Drop NBC Road Game

1/5/17 - Varsity - The Wildcats (3-6, 1-4 NBC) were within striking distance until the third quarter of their Northern Buckeye Conference road game at Genoa.  Down 39-26 at halftime, Woodmore was outscored 25-8 in the third stanza to trail 64-34 heading into the final quarter.  Genoa went on to post a 72-40 decision.  Junior Mitchell Miller led the Wildcats with 18 points, 12 in the first half, while senior JT Atkin added 10 points, eight of those in the first half.  Junior varsity - The Wildcats made a huge comeback in the second half and sophomore Brandon Blausey made sure it was a winning comeback getting a put-back bucket with three seconds left to give the Wildcats a 37-35 victory.  Woodmore trailed 26-9 at halftime.  Sophomore Drew Burner and junior Jeremy Schiavone each scored 10 points in the game.  Freshman - Woodmore trailed at halftime (11-8), won the third quarter to lead 22-20 heading into the fourth quarter, but could only manage four points in the final stanza to lose a 31-26 game.  Andrew Barringer scored 11 points while Javier Slaughter added nine points.
