Wildcats Drop League Road Game

12/15/16 - Varsity - The varsity boys basketball team got off to a slow start and could never get back in the game dropping a 50-34 decision at Otsego in Northern Buckeye Conference play.  Otsego scored the first nine points of the game and led 14-4 after the stanza.  Woodmore was outscored in the second quarter and and trailed 31-16 at the break with 17 points the biggest lead of the quarter.  Otsego scored the first five points of the third quarter to build the lead to 20 points (36-16) and maintained that advantage the rest of the way.  Woodmore went 6:32 in the first quarter without scoring and went 6:06 to start the third quarter without a point.  Senior Mikey Blausey led the Wildcats with eight points and grabbed six rebounds while junior Mitchell Miller scored seven points.  Junior Corey Swisher grabbed seven rebounds.  Junior varsity - the Wildcats built a double-digit lead halfway through the final quarter than held on for a 42-36 win.  Woodmore held the lead throughout the game after winning the first quarter, 11-5.  Sophomore Drew Burner scored 15 points and freshman Andrew Barringer added seven points.  Freshman - the difference int the game was the second quarter in which Woodmore outscored the Knights, 10-2, to take a 17-8 halftime edge.  Barringer had 21 points in the game to lead all scorers.
